Family Services Institute Staff

Wichita Family Services Institute currently houses three full time employees under the guidance of the executive director who has been with the agency over twelve years.

FSI employs RN's to oversee the Case Management program and to supervise and oversee the activities of trained certified Case managers. The case managers provide health education and follow-up to their client’s needs that insure the mother and child receive the on-going health care, which is necessary to sustain a good quality of health and for the family. Trained Outreach workers conduct weekly or if there is a risky pregnancy or health care problem more often home visit to the family and arranges for any service including transportation that the family may need to make regular visits to the doctor or clinic.

Juvenile reintegration programs are supervised by community specialist with backgrounds in psychology, social work and drug and alcohol counseling. Trained counselors monitor clients in school, the home and on the job to ensure goals and objectives of the family plan are being met. Counselors work with the entire family teaching parenting skills, communication and mediation skills. Counselors also work directly with clients teaching life skills necessary to sustain a good quality life.

The project staff and committee members live in the Sedgwick County and are deeply concerned about the well being of our children. Steering committee members represent every sector of the community including business and community professionals, health care professionals, clergy, teachers, parents and youth.
